A VETERAN'S STORY STILL MATTERS! THERE'S NO BETTER WAY TO SAY "THANK YOU" TO A VETERAN HOSPICE PATIENT THAN TO SERVE THEM!
Whether at home or abroad, during combat or peace-time, a soldier's bravery, dedication and sacrifice to help preserve our country’s safety and freedom, makes them a Hero.
Please answer the call and become a Veteran to Veteran Hospice Volunteer! Hospice volunteering in your community can be a very fulfilling experience. YOU can play a vital role in caring for our veteran patients and their families. You would serve in your community for a couple of hours each week. Just by showing up and offering companionship, socialization, a listening ear, and a comforting presence to a fellow veteran, during one of their life’s most difficult times, would mean more to them than you could every imagine. Will you have the courage to answer the call and walk alongside a fellow veteran as they live out their last days, showing them the dignity, honor and respect they deserve?

NEW VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION IS IN OUR GARLAND OFFICE. AFTER ORIENTATION, YOU WOULD VISIT PATIENTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY AS THE NEED ARISES.

Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 18 or over
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license
- Must have valid auto liability insurance
- Must be able to clear background checks
- Must be able to clear a drug screen
- Submit to TB testing
- Must have a heart to serve terminally ill patients and their families
- If you have experienced a significant loss, we recommend that you wait 12 months before volunteering so that you can have the proper amount of time to mourn, grieve and heal from your loss.
