Looking for a meaningful way to gain experience while giving back to your community? At Priority Hospice Care in Covina, our volunteers bring comfort, compassion, and companionship to patients and families during one of life’s most important journeys.
No experience is required — we provide free training and flexible scheduling. Whether you want to connect directly with patients or assist in the office, your time will truly make a difference.
Volunteer Roles:
🌿 Direct Patient Care – Visit with patients, read, listen, offer companionship, and provide caregiver relief.
📂 Office Support – Assist with clerical work, thank-you notes, or preparing educational materials.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible scheduling, just 2–4 hours a week
Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- Background check & TB test required (we’ll help you through it)
Benefits for Students & Young Adults:
- Gain hands-on experience in healthcare and community service
- Develop interpersonal and communication skills
- After 100 hours in 12 months, receive a Letter of Recommendation and Certificate of Completion for school, jobs, or graduate applications
