Beacon Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to serve as Pen Pals for Hospice Patients. Through this meaningful remote volunteer opportunity, you will send short handwritten cards, notes, and letters that remind patients they are remembered, valued, and cared for by their community.

Many hospice patients experience loneliness and social isolation. A simple card filled with a thoughtful poem, words of encouragement, seasonal greetings, or messages of kindness can brighten someone's day and provide a powerful sense of connection.

As a Pen Pal Volunteer, you will write approximately 20-30 cards each month to patients receiving hospice care. While the messages are brief, their impact can be profound.

What You'll Do

• Write and mail 20-30 short cards each month
• Share uplifting poems, positive affirmations, inspirational messages, and seasonal greetings
• Help ensure hospice patients receive regular mail and know someone is thinking of them
• Create moments of joy, comfort, and human connection through your words
