Recruitment Specialist – Chicago (In‑Person School & Community Outreach)

Volunteer with YourPassion1st: Recruitment Specialist (Chicago Outreach)

Location: Chicago, IL (primarily in‑person, with some remote admin/follow‑up)

Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week for 3–5 months

Role Snapshot

Be the welcoming face of YourPassion1st in Chicago schools and community spaces.

As a Recruitment Specialist focused on outreach, you will connect with schools, youth programs, and local partners; explain our Ambassador Program and volunteer roles; and help new youth, mentors, and supporters get started smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Visit Chicago‑area schools, community organizations, and events to introduce YourPassion1st and our programs.
• Present opportunities for youth (events, workshops, Ambassador Program) and adults (mentors, volunteers, partners).
• Guide interested students, staff, and community members through next steps: sign‑ups, interest forms, or introductions to relevant YourPassion1st team members.
• Coordinate with central Onboarding and HR volunteers to ensure all new participants receive welcome communication, orientation info, and any required paperwork.
• Track outreach activities and report back on which schools and partners are most engaged to help focus future efforts.
• Represent YourPassion1st’s values of empowerment, mental health awareness, and passion‑driven careers in all conversations.

You’re a Good Fit If You

• Enjoy meeting new people and speaking in front of small groups (students, teachers, community partners).
• Have some experience in youth work, education, community engagement, or recruitment—or are eager to learn.
• Are reliable, professional, and comfortable traveling around Chicago for in‑person outreach.
• Are energized by our mission to help young adults find, define, and follow their passion into the workforce or entrepreneurship.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 5–10 hours per week, including travel and outreach time
• 3–5 month initial commitment, with the option to extend
• Some evening or weekend availability for events is a plus
