We rely on compassionate, committed volunteers to help us give these dogs the second chance they deserve.
We’re looking for volunteers who want to make a meaningful impact and be part of a supportive, mission‑driven team. Whether you’re local to New England or able to help virtually, we have roles that fit a variety of skills, schedules, and comfort levels.
📣 Social Media Support (Virtual)
Help us share rescue stories, adoption updates, foster needs, and educational content across our social platforms. Tasks may include:
- Creating or scheduling posts
- Writing captions
- Sharing foster/adoption spotlights
- Helping maintain a consistent content calendar
Perfect for volunteers who enjoy storytelling, design, or digital engagement.
📰 Quarterly Newsletter Support (Virtual)
Assist with our new NESR newsletter by contributing content, editing, layout ideas, or gathering updates from our foster and adoption teams. Great for volunteers who love writing, organizing information, or helping build community.
🐾 Foster & Adoption Coordination (Virtual)
Support our placement team by:
- Reviewing applications
- Conducting virtual interviews
- Communicating with potential fosters/adopters
- Helping match dogs with the right homes
Ideal for volunteers who are organized, empathetic, and comfortable speaking with families.

Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Access to a personal computer and reliable internet connection
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
- TikTok experience is a plus
- Ability to commit to at least 2 hours per month
- Comfortable working independently and responding in a timely manner
- Basic organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn NESR’s processes, tone, and mission
- Compassion for animals and alignment with NESR’s values
