Help strengthen the learning infrastructure behind Kasa Foundation’s STEM and innovation programmes.
Kasa Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit expanding access to STEM education, artificial intelligence, digital literacy, robotics and innovation opportunities for underserved children and youth, especially girls. The Kasa Learning Academy primarily provides curriculum, facilitator resources and digital support for our onsite programmes, while also supporting direct learner pathways such as Kasa Code Club.
We are seeking an organized and experienced volunteer to lead the coordination and day-to-day management of the Kasa Learning Academy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate Academy operations, priorities and implementation schedules
- Work with curriculum contributors, programme teams and the Academy’s technical service provider
- Coordinate the preparation, review, organization and publication of courses and programme resources
- Oversee learner, facilitator and cohort access processes
- Ensure Academy resources are ready to support onsite programme delivery
- Maintain content quality, version control and English/French organization
- Coordinate the Innovation & Technology Associate, CREATE Grand Challenge Lead and relevant content-review teams
- Monitor Academy activity, identify operational issues and provide regular updates to the Executive Director
- Support compliance with Kasa’s safeguarding, privacy and accessibility requirements
This role does not manage Kasa’s country programmes or onsite delivery. Those responsibilities remain with the Director of Programs & Strategic Initiatives.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Candidates should have demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: digital learning or LMS administration; education programme operations; online course or curriculum coordination; or STEM/technology education programme management.
- Strong organizational, documentation and remote-team coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple contributors and follow projects through completion
- Familiarity with WordPress, LearnDash or another learning management system is helpful
- Experience supporting youth, nonprofit or Africa-focused programmes is strongly preferred
- Strong written and spoken English; French is highly desirable
- Reliable access to the internet and ability to collaborate across time zones
COMMITMENT
- Approximately 5–7 hours per week
- Minimum six-month commitment
- Fully remote and open to qualified applicants worldwide
- Some availability during African programme working hours is preferred
This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position. It does not constitute paid employment or guarantee a future paid role.
