Description of Duties: Wellness Fair Volunteers are an essential part of the event team and help ensure the smooth and successful operation of MEND’s Wellness Fair. Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks including event setup, participant check-in, greeting guests, distributing materials, providing information, guiding attendees, supporting activity areas, and event breakdown. Volunteers may be assigned to specific stations or rotated based on event needs.
Impact: By supporting the Wellness Fair, volunteers help MEND create a welcoming, organized, and community-centered event that promotes health, wellness, and connection. Volunteers play a key role in ensuring participants feel informed, supported, and valued throughout the day.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assisting with event setup and breakdown.
Welcoming and checking in participants.
Helping guests navigate the event, directing them to workshops, booths, or services.
Distributing flyers, activity calendars, and wellness materials.
Supporting staff and facilitators at activity or workshop stations.
Assisting with interactive physical activities (e.g., stretching demos, fitness games, or movement sessions).
Supporting food sampling stations by guiding guests, distributing samples, and maintaining cleanliness.
Answering general questions and providing information about event offerings.
Skills/Experience/Resources/Certifications Needed: Bilingual, customer service, time-efficient, multi-tasker, cultural sensitivity and comfort interacting with people of all backgrounds.
Dress Code: Volunteers should wear comfortable, clean, and professional attire suitable for a community event. Closed-toe shoes are required. Be prepared to stand and move throughout your shift.
