Volunteer Senior Employment Assistant with VANTAGE Aging Summit County

Basic volunteer duties involved with this assignment:

1. Assist the Project Director with planning quarterly meetings for Senior Community Service Employment program (SCSEP) job seekers
2. Make phone calls to secure guest speakers for quarterly meetings
3. Attend quarterly meetings and assist Project Director with the meeting agenda
4. Assist with greeting job seekers, sign-in sheet, and distributing printed materials

Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment:

Interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to positively interact with SCSEP job seekers and guest speakers

SCSEP job seekers in Summit County will be served by this assignment. The benefit is to provide them with valuable job readiness information and training that is helpful to their health, safety, and provide them with activities which will lead to their unsubsidized employment.

Volunteers will need excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and networking skills.
