About WSPEC
WSPEC is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to support the organization’s growth, partnerships, and outreach efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in business development, sales, partnerships, and nonprofit growth while making a meaningful contribution to a mission-driven organization.
Position Overview
The Business Development Representative will identify and engage potential partners, sponsors, donors, and other organizations that align with WSPEC’s goals. You will help build WSPEC’s outreach pipeline, initiate conversations with prospective partners, and collaborate with leadership and other team members to develop opportunities that support the organization’s continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective partners, sponsors, donors, and organizations that align with WSPEC’s mission.
- Conduct outreach through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other appropriate channels.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partnership and business development opportunities.
- Initiate conversations with potential partners and schedule meetings for WSPEC leadership.
- Assist with developing outreach strategies, messaging, and partnership proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, conversations, follow-ups, and opportunities.
- Follow up consistently with prospective partners and contacts.
- Collaborate with marketing, social media, donor relations, and leadership teams on growth initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities to increase WSPEC’s visibility, partnerships, and organizational reach.
- Provide regular updates on outreach activity, pipeline progress, and potential opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable reaching out to new people and organizations.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple conversations and follow-ups.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Interest in business development, sales, partnerships, fundraising, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM platforms, LinkedIn, prospecting, sales, fundraising, or business development is a plus but not required.
