MatchingDonors.com welcomes all volunteers for its opportunities, including individuals with F-1 status through Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
You will have the joy of coordinating a team of warm, inclusive, and fun-loving volunteers that make a tangible difference in the lives of people needing organ transplants. You will be coordinating them from when they apply to the position, are interviewed, get all their paperwork in order go on to volunteer.
Our volunteers work tirelessly to help MatchingDonors.com, its patients, and donors solve some of the toughest challenges facing people needing organ transplants.
The Role:
As our Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, you will be working directly with our CEO and our Volunteer Coordinator, and alongside a team of volunteers who are as enthusiastic and dedicated as you are.
You will be the vital link that connects, supports, and manages our volunteers. Your role is crucial in keeping our operations smooth, our volunteers happy, and our volunteers compliant with their worked hours.
Be our Assistant Volunteer Leader:
You will help oversee all our volunteers; making sure they put all of their worked hours into our Track It Forward system every week.
Responding to I volunteers who may need assistance.
Receive and document weekly emails from volunteers on what work they did during their 20 volunteer hours
Respond to questions from volunteers.
Organize and Streamline: Manage our volunteer listings, onboard new volunteers, and keep our easy-to-use database sparkling.
Communicate with Heart: Be the go-to person for all volunteer queries, sending warmth in every email and communication ensuring every volunteer is prepared and valued.
Tech Savvy: You should be comfortable with Microsoft Word, email, basic software, and Zoom to keep us connected and efficient.
Make Your Own Hours: We hope you can dedicate at least 20 hours a week around your own schedule.
