    Are you an aspiring journalist, storyteller or digital content creator eager to make an impact in Ghana? Or passionate about journalism and looking to build your portfolio, gain experience, or with dynamic news platforms in Ghana?

    SMWEF Ghana is offering a unique opportunity for interns who want to sharpen their skills, gain hands-on experience and work with a team that values fearless, fact-based journalism. A good communication skill is needed for this project in Ghana.

    With opportunities available within newspapers, TV, and radio, you’ll gain first hands-on experience in Ghana’s media culture. This journalism and media internship program gives you a valuable insight into the industry while helping to support under-funded newspapers, TV networks, and radio stations. Working alongside local journalists will give you a genuine and diverse taste of the environment in which you are reporting, and you’ll no doubt cover a number of eye-opening issues that are unique to Ghana.

    Journalism & Media Internship Placement in Ghana

    A media placement is intended for volunteers who are seeking or already have experience in the industry. Both aspiring reporters and media professionals are warmly welcomed. During the placement, you’ll have to do more work in a number of newspapers, radio stations, and TV networks according to your level of interest.

      • Volunteers on this program must be 18 years and above on the program start date and duration.
      • Fluent in English
      • Volunteers on this program must have at least a high school educational background.
      • No prior requirement is required for this program, but journalism placement volunteers must have relevant media training and certification or should be currently studying journalism.
      • Volunteers must be able to adapt to the environment and be flexible to learn and experience the culture in Ghana.
