Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment

• Supporting in the planning and delivery of events
• Helping with the set-up of event and placing brochures and displays on the table
• Handing out give aways
• Engaging with other local community groups advocating our services
• Representing and explaining our services
• Supporting the Community Engagement Team with weekly contact at various community meetings by taking notes
• Some administrative tasks
• Supporting the Community Engagement Team to raise awareness about our services by attending events and talking to people at community events
• Help with event planning, encourage involvement from potential clients and volunteers
• Work with people in a non-judgmental and solution-focused way
• Able to work independently and as part of team
• Understand the challenges faced by the people using our services
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Be able to work flexibly
• Make and receive phone calls
