    Who We Are

Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is an established nonprofit start-up that brings a multidisciplinary approach to human rights and seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and the wider public. We educate through facts, advocate using our research findings, and take action to implement change.

    Who You Are

We’re seeking a creative and mission-driven volunteer Content Manager to lead our digital storytelling and content strategy. This role is essential to shaping how we communicate with the world—transforming research, advocacy, and impact into powerful narratives that educate, inspire, and mobilize.

    What You’ll Do

    • Develop and manage a content calendar across web, blog, newsletter, and social media platforms.
    • Write, edit, and publish engaging, high-quality content that aligns with the organization's mission and tone.
    • Collaborate with the research, communications, and PR teams to translate complex findings into accessible content.
    • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms.
    • Monitor content performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize reach and engagement.
    • Identify content gaps and opportunities, including user-generated content and volunteer stories.
    • Manage and organize the content archive and style guides.

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a passion for human rights.
    • Experience in content creation, digital marketing, or editorial work (nonprofit or advocacy experience preferred).
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Wix) and basic SEO best practices.
    • Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Graphic design or video editing skills are a plus but not required.

    Compensation and Commitment

This is a volunteer, virtual opportunity with the expectation of 5-10 hours of work per week. At least a six-month time commitment is required.

    Benefits of Volunteering with Us

    • Contribute meaningfully to a global movement for justice and human rights.
    • Build a robust portfolio of published work.
    • Collaborate with a passionate and diverse team.
    • Receive professional references, LinkedIn endorsements, and recognition for your contributions.
