    Descrição

About IELLP: We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the residents of San Bernardino and Riverside County by writing articles that analyze policy, criminal justice issues, and immigration rights, while equipping our people with the tools necessary to assert their rights, influence change, and protect themselves & their families.

As a Legislative Tracking Analyst with the IELLP, you will be joining a nonprofit organization full of like-minded individuals who want to help the community while fueling their passion for justice and gaining practical skills in the process. You will help launch and directly support a first-of-its-kind community policy report (CPR) that will keep Inland Empire residents informed about policies, their effects, and how to make their voices heard.

What is our Community Policy Report?

The Inland Empire Legal Literacy Project's Community Policy Report (CPR) is a quarterly report that will track, analyze, and explain local, state, and federal policies that affect the residents of the Inland Empire. This report will translate complex legislative actions (e.g. amendments, trailer bills, urgency clauses) into plain language for the layperson to understand.

There are three keys to the CPR.

    1. Explaining the facts of the proposed bill.
    2. Analyzing & explaining the effects on the Inland Empire stakeholders (residents, nonprofits, and government leaders).
    3. Allowing residents to formulate their own opinions and showing them how to make their voices heard.

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature and amount of policies to cover with the CPR, we are in need of dedicated team members who will help launch this project. In this role, you will lead a team of around ten team members in policy tracking & research on policy topics impacting the Inland Empire community. You will collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief, Community Engagement Coordinator, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth presentation, accuracy, and support of the Community Policy Report.
