Volunteer Chemistry and Physics Tutors for the 2026/2027 Academic Year!

We are on the lookout for academic Chemistry and Physics tutors for the 2026-2027 school year. The time to apply is now!

We have a high need for academic tutors to work our amazing scholars and collegians in our college access program, Hope Ignites Colorado. Our students are highly motivated and capable individuals who are working to break the cycle of poverty in their families through a college education. We provide our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed, and our dedicated volunteers help provide the additional support and encouragement that can make a meaningful difference along the way.

A tutor’s role may include helping a student break down an assignment, providing guidance as they develop an outline, or simply asking thoughtful, probing questions to help them better understand their notes and coursework.

Online tutoring options are available for volunteers who have completed the required steps and are approved for our Unsupervised Volunteer status.

In-person tutoring takes place Monday–Thursday during after-school programming:

• 4:00-5:30 pm at Aurora Central High School
• 3:30-5:30 pm at Regis Jesuit High School

We are looking for individuals who can commit to supporting our students throughout the semester on a weekly, biweekly, or occasional/ad hoc basis, depending on their needs and your availability.
