Volunteer Opportunity: In‑Person Companion Visitor

We are seeking a friendly and reliable volunteer to provide in‑person companionship to an older adult living in an Adult Family Home in Kent.

About the Participant

• • Alert and oriented
  • Grew up on a farm and enjoys sharing stories from his past
  • Has a strong interest in:
  • Rock and roll music
  • Movies (especially action and horror genres)
  • Enjoys conversation and social interaction

Volunteer Role

• • Provide one‑to‑one companionship through conversation and shared interests
  • Talk about music, movies, or life experiences
  • Offer consistent social connection to help reduce isolation
  • Visits are in‑person only

Volunteer Preferences

  • Comfortable engaging in conversation and building rapport
  • Dependable, friendly, and respectful
  • Flexible scheduling (weekly or bi‑weekly visits welcome)
