Skills-Based / NGO Support Volunteer

Worthy of Hope Tanzania welcomes volunteers who would like to use their skills to support our local community work in Moshi, Northern Tanzania.

Responsibilities

Depending on the volunteer’s skills and the current needs of the organization, volunteers may assist with:

• Social media content and communication
• Photography, video or storytelling
• Website content and basic digital support
• Fundraising and donor communication
• Research and information gathering
• Administrative and organizational tasks
• Developing simple promotional or educational materials
• Supporting community outreach activities
• Helping improve communication about our local projects
• Sharing other useful professional or creative skills with the organization

The exact activities will be agreed based on the volunteer’s skills, interests and the current priorities of Worthy of Hope Tanzania.

Qualifications

This opportunity is suitable for volunteers with professional, academic or practical experience in areas such as communications, marketing, social media, photography, administration, fundraising, education, research or other useful skills.

Previous professional experience is helpful but not required. We welcome volunteers who are:

• Responsible and self-motivated
• Creative and willing to share their skills
• Flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Respectful of local culture and community practices
• Interested in supporting a small locally founded organization
• Able to communicate in English

Commitment

A minimum commitment of 3 weeks is expected. Volunteers should be prepared to contribute regularly during their agreed placement period.
