Community Orchestration Software Development Sprint Frontend/Backend Developers

Volunteers Needed: 36

Timeline: Aug 11, 2026 to May 15, 2027

COSDS developers must possess or be in pursuit of a bachelors degree or higher in frontend, backend or full stack software development. Each developer will be assigned to a management team wherein they will write their respective portions of their project’s full stack, lead by a team of senior developers. The following tools will be provided to the development team:

• An @NTARI.org email address
• Enterprise access to Google Gemini and NotebookLM
• Standard access to Claude AI
• A dedicated Slack channel
• Jira and Confluence documentation
• Two dedicated project managers
• One project steward
• Access to NTARI-RAND on Github

To qualify for a frontend/backend developer position:

  • Possess or be in pursuit of a bachelor's degree or higher in frontend, backend or full stack development
• Complete the Volunteer Orientation course at https://ntari.org/volunteer
• Be able to commit to no less than 20 hours per week, for 9 months of development

Applicants who complete the 1733 course on https://ntari.org/volunteer may select their project on a first-come-first-served basis. Every volunteer will receive a program acceptance letter, access to time tracking workflows in Slack/Jira and a completion letter detailing their position and contributions. All contributors will also be listed in the official documentation of the final product.
