    About Us

    Maya’s Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with special needs and children living in extreme poverty in Ukraine and the Philippines. We provide medical care, therapy, education, and life-saving interventions to children who would otherwise go without.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a passionate and strategic Board Member with expertise in advertising, marketing, or public relations to help guide our organization’s communications and brand strategy. Your insight and network will help us reach new audiences, strengthen our public presence, and inspire supporters to join our mission.

    What You’ll Do

    • Advise on brand positioning, marketing, and PR strategies to increase visibility.
    • Support campaign development, media outreach, and public awareness initiatives.
    • Leverage your network to connect us with media, sponsors, and partners.
    • Assist in promoting events, such as our annual Lotus Ball, to secure sponsorships and coverage.
    • Collaborate with fellow board members to ensure messaging reflects our mission and impact.

    Qualifications

    • Professional experience in advertising, marketing, PR, or communications.
    • Strong network of relevant contacts a plus.
    • Passion for the mission of Maya’s Hope and for improving the lives of children with special needs.
    • Willingness to contribute time, expertise, and resources to advance our work.

    Board Member Expectations

    • Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person).
    • Join at least one board committee (Marketing, Fundraising, or Events).
    • Make an annual personal financial contribution at a meaningful level. (Give/ Get to be discussed.)
    • Serve as a visible ambassador for Maya’s Hope in your community and network.
