Smiling faces as tax prep greeters

Help seniors receive needed tax refunds.

• Welcome and orient the tax filers to the tax site;
• Provide taxpayers with an intake folder and intake sheet;
• Ensure taxpayers have the necessary information and documents required by the IRS;
• Direct taxpayers to the appropriate waiting area and explain process;
• Assist in making copies of proper ID’s, forms, documents, etc.

Qualifications:

• volunteers must be 18+
• Training and certification through the EITC Coalition/LinkandLearn
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Able to pass a background check;
• Reliable access to phone;
• Reliable transportation;

Serve 8 am- 3 pm Saturday in the Buckeye-Shaker neighborhood

Volunteers do not need experience with taxes to volunteer.
