About Trinity Child Development Center

Originally founded in the mid-1960s and operating as a stand-alone nonprofit since 2001, Trinity Child Development Center (TCDC) provides high-quality, affordable early care and education to an ethnically and economically diverse community in East Austin.

As a dedicated community center in Travis County that proudly accepts Workforce/CCS subsidies, we serve roughly 45–48 children ages 1 to 5. We partner with local staples like the United Way, Generation Serve, and the Austin Public Library to foster holistic growth—ensuring all families, regardless of financial circumstance, have equal access to a strong early learning foundation.

About the Board Role

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our close-knit Board of Directors! As TCDC continues to expand its programming and bridge the local affordability gap, our board plays a critical role in executive strategy, financial sustainability, and organizational governance.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome diverse perspectives, but are specifically seeking individuals with expertise or a strong interest in:

• 🧸 Early Childhood Education & Care (helping us maintain top-tier development and care standards)
• 💰 Fundraising & Grant Development (such as helping drive our Amplify Austin campaigns)
• ⚖️ Nonprofit Board Governance (overseeing compliance, policy, and executive growth)
• 🏗️ Facilities, Planning & Construction (guiding ongoing improvements to our school spaces)
