Position Overview: The Career Exploration Coordinator organizes and executes community-driven programs that foster engagement and support our organization’s mission. They collaborate with volunteers, community members, and partners to develop and implement creative career exploration days. This position involves coordinating events, promoting activities, and gathering feedback to enhance future programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design engaging Career Exploration Days (with the goal of hosting one a quarter) with an overarching theme and curate a diverse group of guest speakers from various backgrounds and education levels. Incorporate interactive activities to enhance learning
- Collaborate with community members, volunteers, and partners to develop new programming ideas that align with community needs and goals.
- Help manage event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring proper resource allocation.
- Collect feedback from participants to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to promote events through social media, newsletters, and other channels.
- Maintain a calendar of events and assist in managing event timelines to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist in creating reports and presentations summarizing program outcomes and community impact.
- Attend programming committee meetings
- Report updates to the Director of Programming
