Owner Surrender Case Manager Position Description
The Owner Surrender Case Managers are responsible for the reviewal process of applications and networking of approved cases to our foster network.
Estimated Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per week
Responsibilities
After initial approval from the Application Screener, Case Managers will follow an application from start to finish(placement)
Case Managers work with owners to gather any needed information regarding behavior, training, medical needs, etc. to ensure a proper foster match
After the reviewal process, Case Managers will network with dog or cat to our foster base via our foster needed facebook page.
Case Managers connect with owners regularly and refresh posts every few weeks; providing updates and removing pets when placement is found or no longer needed.
Dog Specific: Schedule meet and greets and assessment with interested fosters and the families by emailing training@pethavenmn.org and operations@pethavenmn.org.
Communicate with staff for all HQ appointments. If a foster home is found, communicate with the intake team, Division Manager, and foster mentor.
Schedule intake exams with the foster and owner by using our Intake Scheduling Link.
Send Safety List to foster Intake Safety Checklist and Process
Complete animal intake via ASM and out intake form within 24 hours of animal coming into care
Reports to: Application Screener and Intake Manager
Goals
Ensure surrenders are completed to the standards of Pet Haven
Ensure information on animals is accurate
Complete accurate and timely intakes to ensure organization has the most up-to-date animal information
