Drive Seniors and Make a Difference

Ashby Village is a community network of older adults living in the cities of Berkeley, Kensington, Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Richmond and Oakland who want to remain independent, in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.

Volunteers provide a variety of short term services to help this happen. Although there are opportunities for a variety of help, one of the greatest needs is for drives to medical appointments, social events, or shopping. The amount of time spent volunteering may be small, but the impact is large.

Volunteer screening includes: application, references, background check, brief interview, and orientation. Must be 18+ to apply and 21+ to drive.
