Gala Event Committee Volunteers: Planning & Day-of Execution - (Metro Atlanta Volunteers)

LEDI is seeking dynamic, organized, and passionate volunteers to join our Planning Committee for the 11th Annual LEDI International Life Changers Awards and Fundraising Gala on October 24, 2026 in Atlanta! Whether you want to contribute behind the scenes during the planning phase or help manage operational flow on the day of the event, your skills will help make Atlanta’s most inspiring cultural celebration a success.

Volunteer Roles & Experience Needed

We are seeking volunteers with experience or strong interest in any of the following areas:

• Registration & Guest Services: Guest check-in, ticketing, and VIP greeting.
• Fundraising & Live Appeal: Assisting with live auction/fundraising appeals, bid paddle distribution and tracking, and donor engagement.
• Entertainment & Talent Coordination: Sourcing dynamic performers, coordinating stage schedules, and ensuring an exciting, high-energy program experience.
• Silent Auction Coordination: Item procurement, display setup, and bid management.
• Event Production & Logistics: Stage management, timeline execution, and vendor coordination.
• Audio/Visual (AV) & Tech Support: Assisting with presentation slides, sound, and lighting flow.
• Programming & Host Coordination: Supporting honorees, speakers, and performers backstage.

Volunteer Requirements

• Location: Based in or near Metro Atlanta, GA.
• Availability: Able to attend virtual planning syncs leading up to the event and/or serve in-person on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
• Skills: Strong communication, reliability, and a passion for community service and event management.

Group & Corporate Engagement Details

• Group Size: Individuals and groups ranging from 1 to 50+ volunteers are welcome.
• Off-Site Planning: Select committee planning tasks and packing/prep sessions can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g., corporate offices).
• Donations Requested: Corporate sponsor matches and event support donations are welcome but not required to participate.
