Assist with Friendly visits for Facility patients as a Patient Care Volunteer-VITAS Healthcare- Ballwin, MO 63011

Volunteers are critically important for visiting patients at the end of life that do not have family or friends that regularly visit. VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Volunteers to visit patients on hospice residing in nursing homes located in the Ballwin area, 63011. Patient Care Volunteers offer companionship, play music and games, read to patients and help in other meaningful ways.

Volunteers visit VITAS patients to provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering on communication skills, family dynamics. This training also includes how to make a positive difference for patients and their caregivers. The days and times for volunteering are flexible according to your availability.
