Evaluation Coordinator – measuring Belonging and Purpose in participants and volunteers

Imagine waking every morning with the confidence and contentment of knowing you built the evaluation framework, the evidence base, for the movement that ended suicide and stopped mental illness. You could face every day knowing nothing is beyond your reach.

Joining Family Shed means building the evaluation framework, the forms and methods, and gathering the evidence that makes Family Shed’s goals possible.

The Family Shed Program has been successfully running since 2024, but it is very much a “by the seat of your pants” organisation. Now it is ready to grow, and grow quickly, to encompass the geographic area covered by 32CBG. That means covering from Oshawa to Barrie and around the Golden Horseshoe to include all of the Niagara Peninsula.

It’s time to stop flying by the seat of our pants, get our stick on the ice, and be to collect and present evaluation evidence.

Adages and clichés aside, we need to accomplish three tasks:

1. Plan the evaluation process
2. Develop the evaluation forms and schedules
3. Organise the evidence to demonstrate success
