    At Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization Inc.     About the Role

    The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role plays a critical part in securing funding that advances the organization’s mission and programs. This is a compensated position.

    What You’ll Do

    • Research potential grant opportunities aligned with R.O.Y.O’s mission.
    • Write compelling proposals and letters of inquiry.
    • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
    • Collaborate with program staff to gather data and success stories.
    • Track and report on grant progress and outcomes.

    What You Bring

    • Demonstrated track record of securing competitive grant funding
    • Understanding of nonprofit funding and grant processes
    • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
    • Experience with grant tracking platforms
    • Ability to research and synthesize information effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
    • Self-motivated and deadline-driven.
    • Must prioritize tasks and work independently in the absence of supervision.
    • Possess excellent crisis/conflict management skills and/or willing to learn.
    • Demonstrates leadership skills
    • Engaging/responsive, and proactive communication
    • Proficient in Google Suite and open to learning new tools.
    • Adaptable, collaborative, and self-motivated
    • Establish and maintain highly professional effective working relationships with senior management, and other appointed officials, including staff, community and business leaders, donors, board members, and others encountered in the course of work
    • Use a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned groups and/or individuals
    • Must be in agreement with and committed to upholding R.O.Y.O’s Motto and Statement of Values, as well as its stated Mission and Vision
