Front Desk Assistant

At the Hunterdon Art Museum, the Front Desk Assistants are the first face that our guests see when they enter the Museum. Our job is to make the guests feel comfortable so that they can enjoy their Museum experience. As a Front Desk Assistant, you will learn the nuances of customer service while also learning about how a retail establishment in a non-profit environment (our Museum Shop) operates.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Greet & welcome museum guests
• Process admission fees, membership purchases, & gift shop sales
  • Cash, credit, or check transactions
• Provide guests with an introduction to exhibits & the building
• Direct inquires related to memberships, exhibits, events and education programming
• Other tasks may include:
  • Data entry, museum shop displays, graphic design, or more if that interests you!
