Are you a student in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related field who wants meaningful, hands-on experience? Compassus Hospice offers volunteer opportunities that give students the chance to learn about patient care, family support, and the interdisciplinary team approach that defines hospice.
Student volunteers may:
- Visit with patients to provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist families through listening, letter writing, or small acts of kindness
- Learn about the hospice team, including nursing, social work, and chaplaincy roles
- Participate in special projects, office support, or community outreach
These roles are flexible and designed to enrich your learning while making a real difference in the lives of patients and families. Free training and supervision are provided.
