Taking care of someone with a serious illness can be overwhelming. Hospice volunteers provide companionship visits so caregivers can take a short break, run errands, or simply rest.
Volunteers might:
• Sit and talk with the patient
• Read, listen to music, or play games
• Provide a calm presence while the caregiver steps away
Just a few hours a month can bring relief to a family.
