Manufacturing Renaissance is seeking a Research and Convening Administrative Volunteer to support our strategic initiatives focused on ownership diversity, industry retention, and workforce development. This is an excellent opportunity for students, emerging professionals, or experienced administrators who want to contribute their skills while supporting a more inclusive and sustainable manufacturing sector.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct research to support manufacturing ecosystem development, worker ownership transitions, and early warning network strategies
- Assist with drafting and formatting policy briefs, training materials, reports, and presentations
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and track follow-up action items for advisory groups and partner meetings
- Organize digital files and administrative records related to programs and grants
- Support data entry, document review, and quality assurance processes
- Assist with coordinating internal meetings and occasional stakeholder engagements with community and industry partners
What We Provide:
- Orientation and training on MR’s programs and theory of change
- Exposure to manufacturing policy, community wealth building strategies, and cooperative conversion efforts
- Hands-on experience in nonprofit research, administration, and program development
What We Ask:
- Weekly commitment of 3-5 hours
- Strong organizational, research, and writing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
- Interest in manufacturing, economic development, nonprofit administration, or public policy
