🐾 Volunteer Opportunity: Pet Therapy Visits

🐾 Volunteer Opportunity: Pet Therapy Visits

Share comfort. Spark joy. Bring healing moments — one visit at a time.

Do you have a certified pet therapy dog or cat and a heart for making a real difference today?

At Hospice of the Valley, your gentle companion can transform an ordinary moment into one filled with comfort, calm, and connection. The simple presence of a friendly therapy animal helps ease anxiety, distract from pain, and rekindle happy memories for patients and families navigating difficult journeys.

    What You Can Do

Bring warmth and reassurance where it has needed most by visiting:

      • Patients in their homes
      • Hospice of the Valley inpatient units
      • Skilled nursing & assisted living communities
      • Group homes
      • Our pediatric respite home, Ryan House
      • Dementia care campus

    What Makes This Different

This is not just volunteering — it is creating meaningful moments of peace, joy, and human connection through the unconditional love of your therapy animal.

    You’ll see smiles return.

    You’ll feel tension soften.

You’ll witness comfort happening in real time.

    Change a Life

If you believe in the healing power of companionship, and you’ve seen how animals naturally comfort people, you already understand the impact you can make.

    Is Something Happening Right Now?

Yes. Patients and families are facing challenging days today — and your visits can bring immediate comfort and emotional relief.

Can You See It? Can You Feel It?

Picture a patient’s face lighting up when your dog enters the room.

Imagine a child relaxing as they gently pet your cat.

Feel the calm and connection that fills the space.
