Website Coordinator (Multi-Site) — Volunteer Opportunity
About Us
Florida Youth At Risk (FYAR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth ages 12–25 through creative arts, mentorship, and workforce development. We provide safe, inspiring spaces for young people to dream, connect, and grow, helping them build skills, confidence, and opportunities for a brighter future.
Overview
We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Website Coordinator to help keep FYAR's digital presence up-to-date, engaging, and impactful across more than one website. This role works in close collaboration with others handling website upkeep across our organization, making sure content, branding, and calls-to-action stay consistent no matter which site a visitor lands on.
Volunteer/internship role — 6-month minimum commitment, approximately 3–5 hours per week, fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update website content regularly across multiple sites, including program pages, events, and news
- Create new pages for upcoming initiatives, campaigns, and events
- Collaborate with other team members maintaining FYAR's web properties to keep design, tone, and messaging consistent site to site
- Ensure clear, consistent calls-to-action across every site (donate, volunteer, sign up)
- Monitor performance and traffic, and suggest improvements based on basic SEO practices
- Coordinate and prioritize update requests, delegating or dividing work with collaborators as needed
- Communicate with the marketing/social media team to keep web content in sync with active campaigns
- Troubleshoot basic site issues and escalate technical problems as needed
Required Qualifications
- Experience with website platforms (e.g., Wix)
- Comfortable collaborating with others on shared web properties, with clear communication and follow-through
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with great communication skills
- Passionate about youth empowerment, the arts, and using digital tools to grow community impact
Nice to Have
- Experience managing or contributing to more than one site at once
- Creative in design, layout, and user experience
- Basic HTML/CSS and SEO knowledge
