Descrição
Bristol Hospice Dallas is seeking compassionate Spanish-speaking volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families. As a companion volunteer, you'll visit with patients in their homes, assisted living communities, or nursing facilities - offering comfort, kindness, and a listening ear.
Volunteer activities may include:
- Offering friendly visits and conversation in Spanish
- Reading, listening to music, or sharing stories
- Providing comfort and companionship to patients and families
- Supporting and offering breaks for family caregivers
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Must complete hospice onboarding, screening, and training processes
- Exhibit reliability, compassion, and good communication skills
Commitment Requirement: Flexible - Typically 1-2 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible with your schedule and availability
