Join the League of Women Voters of San Francisco

The League of Women Voters of San Francisco (LWVSF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that helps our Members and San Francisco residents at large engage with the public sector. To find out more about our work in defending democracy visit LWVSF.org . Our organization is seeking new volunteers! As with any volunteer-run organizations, there are many opportunities to help out and to lead. Committees include:

• Voter Services, where we write a non-partisan Pros & Cons guide for San Francisco elections, go out to the community to provide voter information through Speakers Bureau, and run non-partisan Candidate Forums
• Advocacy, where we work on Open Government, Community Safety , and Transit Equity
• Membership, where we run member events and help members get the most out of their League experience
• Communications, where we produce a regular newsletter, blog posts, and oversee the finalization of other media produced by other committees
• Education, where we run nonpartisan educational events
• Development, which fundraises to power our work
• Youth Council, composed of youth, who do voter outreach and education for their peers

Committee members usually meet once a month via Zoom. As a League member, you will have the opportunity meet other active volunteers in the San Francisco community, and learn more about how to engage with government and other nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area!

Role requirements:

• Become a member of the League of Women Voters of San Francisco (find out how to become a member here: https://lwvsf.org/membership)
• Must not be an elected official or candidate for office at the local, state or federal level of government
