Volunteer with the League of Women Voters of San Francisco

The League of Women Voters of San Francisco is a nonpartisan political nonprofit that encourages informed and active participation in government. To find out more about our work, visit LWVSF.org.

We’re seeking new volunteers! There are many opportunities to help out or to lead. Committees include:

• Voter Services — write the nonpartisan Pros & Cons Guide, run candidate forums, and staff the speakers bureau
• Advocacy — areas of focus are open government, community safety, redistricting (including the upcoming census), and transit equity
• Membership — run member events and support a vibrant member community
• Communications — create the newsletter, website, social media, and other materials
• Education — run nonpartisan educational events on community issues
• Development — fundraise to power our work empowering voters and defending democracy
• Youth Council — young people age 14–22 doing voter outreach and education for their peers

Committees usually meet once a month via Zoom. As a League member, you’ll meet other active volunteers in San Francisco and learn how to engage with government and local nonprofits.
