Do you have an hour a week to mentor a low-income high school senior through the college app process?
Become a mentor and change a life!
The Reach Foundation is a Bay Area California nonprofit organization that Mentors and Funds low-income from high school through to a 4-year degree by enlisting corporations, their employees and community members. Almost all of our students are first generation college-aspirants in their families.
Your Commitment:
–1 hour a week from late August - Dec 15th and then every other week late Jan - April
–All mentoring is remote on Zoom
–The first 30 minutes are training and the remaining 30 minutes mentors work 1-on-1 with their student executing the training.
–There are three sessions available (you select one)
Thursday 8:30-9:25 am
Thursday 9:00-10:00 am
Friday 8:30-9:30 am
Experience:
- -No experience beyond having an undergraduate degree
Deliverables
- -Selecting a major
- -College selections
- -College and scholarship application and essays
- -Financial aid forms and debt consideration
