Volunteers provide emotional support and practical assistance the enhances the comfort and quality of life for patients, their families and loved ones.
Companionship volunteers work directly with patients providing companionship, offering friendly visits, reading to patients, watching TV/movies, talking about current events, writing letters, running errands, preparing a meal, offering a gentle touch or sharing a quiet moment.
