App Community Moderator

The Stroke Survivors Network

The Stroke Survivors Network is seeking trusted, compassionate volunteers to help monitor our mobile app community for stroke and brain injury survivors. Our app is a safe space for survivors and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and support one another.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Monitor posts, comments, and messages for inappropriate behavior, harassment, or misinformation
• Enforce community guidelines fairly and respectfully
• Flag or report misconduct and escalate concerns when necessary
• Help maintain a positive, supportive, and survivor-centered environment

Ideal Volunteers Will Have:

• Strong communication and judgment skills
• Comfort using mobile apps and online platforms
• Empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Lived experience as a survivor or caregiver is a plus, but not required

Time Commitment: Flexible (remote role; a few hours per week)

This non-medical volunteer role is essential to protecting the safety and well-being of our community members.
