    Be a Bright Spot in Someone’s Day – Become a Gentiva Hospice Volunteer!

    Do you have a warm heart and a little time to spare? Join Gentiva Hospice as a Patient Visiting Friend and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

    We're looking for fun, compassionate, and reliable adults who can visit with hospice patients in your local community. These visits provide much-needed companionship and comfort — whether you're sharing stories, reading aloud, listening to music, or simply being present.

    • No medical experience needed
    • Full training and ongoing support provided
    • Must be 18+ and able to drive (valid license and auto insurance)
    • veterans welcome (and often paired with veteran patients)
    • start with one patient taking on additional patients later, if desired
    • Visit three (3x) times per month staying 30 minutes minimum

    Whether you’re looking to give back, gain experience, build a resume, or simply bring joy to someone’s day, you’ll be supported every step of the way by our caring hospice team and our Volunteer Coordinators.
