    We kindly ask volunteers to join for at least one 5-hour shift a day. Shifts are shared , rotating space. The first and last days involve helping with setup and takedown, while other days are all about supporting the event and enjoying the vibe!

    Celebrate & Support Indigenous Artists – Volunteer at Cultural Festival! (Newburyport, MA)

    Be part of something meaningful! Volunteer at the Cultural Survival Bazaar in Newburyport– July 18–21

    The Cultural Survival Bazaars are cultural festivals that offer Indigenous artists, artisans, cooperatives, and representatives from around the world the opportunity to sell their handmade work directly to the public. This is a celebration of creativity, resistance, and cultural preservation.

    Volunteer roles may include:

    • Greeting visitors and answering questions
    • Distributing flyers and helping promote the event
    • Supporting Indigenous artists at their booths
    • Helping with event setup and breakdown
    • Running Cultural Survival’s own booth to sell crafts
    • Enjoying time with artists and learning about Indigenous cultures
    • Helping with interpretation or translation for artists and visitors (language skills are a plus!)

    🗣️ Do you speak Spanish, Portuguese, French, or an Indigenous language?

    That’s a big plus! Volunteers who speak other languages may be asked to assist artists with translation and communication throughout the event.

    🎁 Perks of volunteering:

    • A minimum of 3 hours is required
    • Volunteers working 5+ hours will receive a free meal
    • Certificate of volunteer hours issued by Cultural Survival
    • Discounts on crafts at Cultural Survival’s booth
    • A chance to connect directly with Indigenous creators and gain hands-on experience in a fun, community-focused environment
    • Valuable experience in event organization, cultural education, and nonprofit work. Great for students or early-career professionals in social work, arts, human rights, education, anthropology, or cultural fields
