BantuCola is Northwest Florida’s hub for Black business empowerment and cultural storytelling. Through initiatives like The Black Business Project television series and the upcoming BantuCola Travel Magazine, we amplify Black voices, celebrate entrepreneurship, and strengthen community connections.
We are seeking dynamic and creative Broadcasting Interns to join our media team. This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in television, podcasting, digital media, and live event broadcasting while contributing to projects that make a lasting community impact.
Responsibilities
As a Broadcasting Intern with BantuCola, you will:
Assist with production for The Black Business Project TV show, The Small Business Project, and live community events.
- Operate cameras, audio boards, and streaming equipment for live and recorded broadcasts.
- Support content development, including scriptwriting, research, and interview preparation.
- Help coordinate and prep guests for shows and interviews.
- Edit video and audio for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Assist in creating promotional content for social media, YouTube, and the BantuCola website.
- Participate in planning meetings to brainstorm show ideas and community-focused storytelling.
- Provide support during BantuCola events such as ribbon cuttings, business forums, and the Empowerment Prayer Brunch.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Broadcasting, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
- Passion for storytelling, community engagement, and Black business empowerment.
- Basic knowledge of video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Audition, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Familiarity with live streaming platforms (e.g., StreamYard, OBS, or YouTube Live) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) is a plus.
