About Mission 22

Position Overview
Mission 22 is seeking a motivated and community-driven Volunteer State Leader for Montana to help guide and support local Mission 22 Ambassadors across the state. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about veteran advocacy and wants to take an active leadership role in growing community impact through awareness efforts, events, partnerships, and ambassador support.
As a State Leader, you will help strengthen communication, encourage engagement, mentor ambassadors, and serve as the primary point of contact for your state’s volunteer team.
Mission 22 Ambassadors are more than advocates—they are trusted guides, resource connectors, and the face of real support in their communities. Ambassadors play a vital role in ensuring that no Veteran or family ever feels isolated in their struggle.
With over 4,000 Ambassadors in big cities and small towns across all 50 states, the Mission 22 Ambassador Community brings strength, resilience, and connection to every corner of the country. Together, Ambassadors embody the belief that healing happens together—and that real change starts at the local level.
This role is about more than service to others.
It’s about rediscovering your own purpose.
This isn’t just a program about helping others—it’s about healing yourself.
Veterans, military spouses, family members, and survivors of loss all find purpose and power in becoming Mission 22 Ambassadors. Many are continuing their mission after service. Others are turning lived experience into action, support, and hope for someone else.
You don’t need credentials.
You need heart.
You need the will to stand up for someone else.
