Make-A-Wish - Fundraising Event/Auction Committee Volunteer!

Community Fundraising Event Planning Committee Volunteer: June – August

Please join our committee to plan and hold a community fundraising event for Make-A-Wish in Ventura County by the end of August.

• • How you will help:
  • Event planning, logistics, and creative ideas
  • Outreach, sponsorships, and in-kind donations
  • Marketing and community engagement
  • Day-of support, guest experience, and event activities
  • Setup, coordination, and event wrap-up
  • Time commitment:
  • 30-minute weekly virtual meetings up until the event day (day/time to be selected based on the committee members’ preferences)
  • Helping with action items outside of the meeting (variable)
  • Day-of event set-up, staffing, and clean-up

Make-A-Wish Fundraising Auction Committee Volunteer: July - October

Please join our event committee to help gather amazing items and experiences for a Make-A-Wish Fundraiser in October!

• • How you will help:
  • Solicit auction items through personal and professional networks
  • Assist with building, packaging, and writing descriptions for auction items
  • Support administrative tasks like tracking donations, organizing materials, and preparing auction displays
  • Optional Event Day Support: Help with event logistics including setup, guest support, auction promotion, and checkout
  • Time commitment:
  • Approximately 2-5 hours per month
  • Virtual meetings to be held twice monthly (day/time TBD) for 30 minutes, July through mid-October
