Want to start making a difference in someone else's life? Become a Clinic Waiting Room Greeter with Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation!
The Clinic Waiting Room Greeters play a crucial role in welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, helping to create a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment they come through the clinic doors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and guests with a smile and friendly voice.
- Offer water and coffee while patients and guests are waiting.
- Keep the waiting room neat and tidy.
- Engage patients and guests in light, easy conversation.
- Get a wheelchair as needed.
Shifts are typically Monday - Friday, between 9am - 3pm, and is based on need, so could vary. We ask for a minimum time commitment of 3 hours per week, for at least 6 months.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Submit a volunteer application.
- Complete a phone interview.
- Complete a criminal history check and drug/nicotine screening. * Please note that FCS is a nicotine- and medical marijuana-free workplace. *
- Complete a health screening: Tuberculosis (TB) testing, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunity proof are required.
- An influenza vaccine is required annually (August 1 through March 31).
