Board Member — Business Development & Philanthropy

Maya’s Hope is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven professional to join our Board of Directors and help us grow the partnerships and community that make our work possible.

For 15 years, Maya’s Hope has worked to improve the lives of children living in extreme poverty and children with special needs in the Philippines and Ukraine. Our programs provide access to life-saving surgeries, medical care, therapy, essential supplies, education, and humanitarian assistance.

As we enter our next chapter, we are looking for a New York City–based Board Member with a strong background in business development, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, or relationship building. Experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or media would also be valuable.

This is an active Board, and we are looking for someone who wants to do more than attend meetings. We want someone who is excited to open doors, build relationships, make introductions, and help bring new people into the Maya’s Hope community.

How You Can Make an Impact

As a Board Member, you can help Maya’s Hope:

• Develop relationships with corporations, foundations, philanthropists, and other potential partners
• Make strategic introductions through your personal and professional networks
• Identify new partnership and sponsorship opportunities
• Help expand Maya’s Hope visibility and reach in New York City
• Serve as an ambassador for our mission
• Support our annual Lotus Ball and other events and initiatives
• Bring new ideas, perspectives, and strategic thinking to the organization

We are particularly interested in professionals with backgrounds in business development, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, financial services, sales, PR, communications, marketing, or related fields.

Board members participate in approximately 5–7 meetings per year and are expected to be engaged in the life and growth of the organization, including attending our annual Lotus Ball.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and wants to get involved—someone who sees relationships as an opportunity to create meaningful change for children.

This is an especially exciting time to join Maya’s Hope as we celebrate our 15th anniversary and think about what the next 15 years can look like.
