Volunteer Coordinator - San Diego Int'l Film Festival

We are seeking a reliable and people-oriented Volunteer Coordinator to support our team in the lead-up to and during the San Diego International Film Festival.

This is a hybrid role that combines behind-the-scenes coordination with on-site event support.

Responsibilities include:

• We will train you so you can assist on VOME (our volunteer database) to build and organize shifts across multiple events.
• Assisting the Volunteer Director at events with:
  • Volunteer check-in and check-out
  • Distributing volunteer t-shirts
  • Supporting volunteers with schedules and logistics
  • Helping ensure a smooth and positive experience for all volunteers

Schedule:

• Ongoing support leading up to the festival (flexible hours)
• Monthly events: third Wednesday of each month (May–August)
• September we need more online assistance once the slate is announced
• Festival Week (October 13–18): Full-time availability required

• Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Friendly, proactive, and dependable
• Enjoys working with people in a fast-paced event environment

We will provide training on our volunteer database and event processes.
