About Chelsea Film Festival
Chelsea Film Festival is an international film festival and year-round arts and culture organization supporting independent filmmakers, emerging artists, and bold storytelling from around the world.
Our ecosystem extends beyond the annual festival through industry programming, mentorship, networking, education, and our Incubator for emerging talent.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a creative and motivated Volunteer Social Media Manager to help shape and grow Chelsea Film Festival’s digital presence leading up to our 14th Annual Festival, October 14–18, 2026.
You will work closely with our team to develop our social media strategy, create engaging content, grow our community, and bring the energy of independent cinema to audiences online.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a social media content calendar
- Manage Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and other relevant platforms
- Create engaging Reels, Stories, and short-form video content
- Develop creative campaigns around filmmakers, films, events, and festival programming
- Engage with our online community and help grow our audience
- Monitor trends, analytics, and engagement to improve performance
- Support live social media coverage during festival events
- Collaborate with our artistic, marketing, and production teams
Who We’re Looking For
- Passionate about film, arts, culture, and storytelling
- Creative, organized, proactive, and digitally savvy
- Experienced with Instagram, Reels, and social media strategy
- Familiar with content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communicator with an instinct for compelling storytelling
- Interested in building a career in social media, entertainment, or the creative industries
