Concert Volunteers – Washington Chamber Orchestra (Usher / Ticket Scanner)

Description

The Washington Chamber Orchestra is seeking volunteers to assist with front-of-house support at an upcoming concert in Columbia, Maryland. - Christ Episcopal Church 6800 Oakland Mills Rd, Columbia, MD 21045

Volunteers will help create a welcoming experience for our audience and support the smooth operation of the concert.

Volunteer duties may include:

• Greeting audience members as they arrive
• Distributing concert programs
• Scanning tickets at the door
• Assisting patrons with seating directions
• Helping with light tasks during intermission or after the concert

Event Details

Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026

Volunteer arrival time: 6:15 PM

Doors open: 6:40 PM

Concert begins: 7:30 PM

Expected end time: approximately 9 PM

Dress Code

Neat all-black attire (concert black preferred).

Volunteer Appreciation

As a small thank-you, volunteers may receive two complimentary tickets for friends or family to attend the concert.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy music, community arts, and live performances.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Friendly and welcoming attitude toward concert patrons
• Reliable and able to arrive on time
• Comfortable standing for periods while greeting guests or scanning tickets
• Able to follow simple instructions and work as part of a small team
• Interest in music or the arts is welcome but not required
• Must be at least 18 years old (16+ with guardian)
